Tuesday, heroquest
Jun. 14th, 2006 02:21 pmLast night was busy. I picked up Robinson May Ball tickets (isn't three days before the ball a bit late to make them available?)
I went to Pip's to play Heroquest board game. Yay! Hacknslash is fun, I reaffirm my intent to have hacking in addition to roleplaying in my next campaign whenever it may be. And heroquest somehow feels beautifully retro, even though I've never played before. All the orcs were really sweet and really camp.
I think we haven't seen each other for too long, and have been missing hugs, for we literally ran into each others' arms. Somewhere I made a note to myself, less[1] kissing of friends, but apparently I'd lost it. Oops. I hope you're ok today, Pip.
Then it was raining fiercely, but I went to Rich's, Jennie's and Michael's improv show for an hour and it stopped. It was good. It started a little slowly, but many of the games were hilarious[2], and I think everyone had some great zingers. Congratulations, all!
[1] Fewer kissings? No, I think 'less' will do.
[2] I can't remember everything. For instance, double-headed double act, four people play a comedy double act, each pair alternating words of one character. And "start a sentence with the next letter of the alphabet". Both these are inherently funny, when someone can sufficiently blatantly set up the next person.
