Halloween Weekend

jackSaturday afternoon. I went back to poohsoc for the day. Owen and Lisa were there, and it was very oldschool, with much innuendo, much voting on gratuitous and unintended motions, and much cake and tea. Andy, California Girl of Mystery, and some freshers seem promising recruits.
Saturday early evening. I ambled, insofar as one can amble on a cycle, via sainsbury's back to work, to pick up a costume and have some food I stash there.
Saturday evening. Ceilidh! Whooh, hard work, but very fun. There was almost no-one I knew, but I danced with lots of new people. The rifleman dance seemed odd; you're doing exactly the same thing again and again, without interacting with the couples next to you. Anything with hop stepping in was exhausting. The waltz was relaxing and elegant and flirtatious. I remembered to bring a bottle of water.
Saturday night. James's halloween party. That was fun. I got quite drunk. People dressed up very pretty (the witches were great, and James makes a good vampire). I wore Santa on the grounds that it's a costume that suits me, not on the grounds that it's christmas. However, Naath's gumption with a startrek uniform won just about every award I had to give, congratulations :)
