And now, a few events from last week which were fun and didn't quite make it to the diary. At geek pizza:

* A few people were away, so it was quiet, but then because really quite jolly.
* I knew a fact about music!
* We exchanged anecdotes of Most Stupid Bridge Bidding Systems (TM). Where stupid means informational theory best.
* Simon really must stop caching "Most offensive things Jack says"! :)
* We hit ouselves with spiky rods played anagram/word games. OK, it was pretty funny, I'm just a lot better at cheating ("What do you mean, apostrophe-umlaut doesn't count?") than thinking (oh! the letter isn't pronounced like that!), so normally I'd prefer anything else (mmm, spikes).
* I disagreed with someone and nearly, but not quite, resisted looking up the answer on the internet the next day :)

Oh! I read that as "King of England". And I thought:

1. No there isn't.
2. Why would he be the nearest person? Anyway, he may do know about computers.

No. Too factual.

Where?

(I remember Ian and Naath discussing Temeraire at Pizza, and Ian trying to list to me books good in ways other than being like exiting good books but with added dragons, and me saying that I liked that, but as far as I was concerned Naath was free to recommend to me as many books which were like old favorites but with dragons as she wanted and I would be happy. Dragons are cool.)
