Cambridge hugs

I still can't get used to people spontaneously coming up to you and hugging you for saying something unbearably pedantic and drawn out. I can't even remember what I said now. It's just so lovely and so very Cambridge.

Hugging people seems more common for women anyway. But can I not persuade you to the pleasures of Edith¹-hugs? They are highly recommended by Cambridge hug-connoisseurs :)

I think Kirsten said it was just me being me. I can't remember what it was, though it was certainly a very me (draw out, reflective, pedantic, apparently in a sweet way, though *I* can never tell the difference between endearing and annoying). The kind of thing that makes everyone laugh, but more so. Don't worry, I'm not used to being hugged just for being me, except in certain company :)
