I dispute your snow suggestion. I got all excited last week about the promised snow (coming from the south coast snow is a new and wonderful invention to me). But it *hurt*! I was cycling along, wiping my glasses every three seconds and merrily singing "These are a few of my favourite things" when I realised that these weren't fluffy little snowflakes of joy. They are like tiny barbed wire balls of ice. Seriously, they have lots of arms and sharp pointy bits off each of them, people wouldn't be quite so delighted in snow if it was called barbed iced balls.
