Umm... Part III maths. For, well, most reasons: more interesting, freer hours, more girls (yeah, I know), more socialising, more holiday. But a job wins out on the long run because you can't to Part III forever, and you get more of a sense of achievement from getting on in a job than marking time in academia, and being successful in academia, in retrospect, I'm being convinced, wasn't as fun for me as it once sounded. *jumps off fence*
