Glasses

I've been wearing my new glasses, the nicer ones. They're not perfect, but I definitely look better than in the old ones, both in terms of perceiving better and appearing better, which was the aim of the exercise. At some point, I'll shop around more for some perfect glasses (I think I'll stick with rimless after-all, but maybe look for wide arms), but I feel bespecticaled to the necessary extent for the moment. I think I see well.

Which is funny, its the other way round with me, the less well I can see out the more I tell myself I must be lookin good. Big pink blob in the mirror? You're looking hot Pops! It was all a big disappointment when I got good glasses and resolved the big pink blob into a person :-)

Actually, in both cases, I could see just well enough to see what I looked like. Though sometimes I like it and sometimes I'd just as soon not bother.

We've never met, have you, you two have never invaded one of my parties? So I don't know what you look like -- your lj icon is very flattering, despite the ears :)

Nope, we've not met. I know everyone says they don't photograph well, but in my case it is true enough that even my wedding photographer commented on it! I'm rather pleased with the bunny picture (there *is* a reason, by the way, but probably not worth getting into)in that I don't look dead or like I've just been arrested. If anything terrible ever happens to me and I end up with a picture of myself on the news I hope its this one!
