Livredor and I are in Amsterdam over the weekend. We mostly know what we'll be doing, but will have some time to do touristy stuff we haven't really decided. Where should we go?

When I went I went to see the Anne Frank house, and the Rijksmuseum (Night Watch is quite cool). I'd recommend both

The Anne Frank house is the big tourist thing, it's like the most visited museum in Europe or something ridiculous. It will also have unimaginable queues on a summer weekend, because since the museum is in Anne Frank's actual house, it's physically tiny. It's a sort of teach the Korean tourists about the Holocaust thing, which does what it does very well, but if you're European you probably know a lot of the material already. I am not particularly keen to go back there, though obviously that shouldn't stop you if you're interested.

The Rijksmuseum I'm totally happy to go back to, though; it's a huge international art museum so definitely not the kind of thing you can say you've "done".
