This reminds me of a story about a scientist who had to fill in a form for a safety inspector. The problem was the form wanted to know exactly which hazardous substance was inside the vacuum chamber. IIRC the scientist spent quite some time trying to explain what a vacuum was (before he inevitably gave up).

You'd think you could just say "it contains hazardous vacuum", which is close enough, and not disillusion the inspector if he wants to think that's a substance.. :)
