We all have things about our friends that make us slightly envious. Not in a bad way, but in a "Wow! I wish I had that person's hair, eyes, money, relationship, toe nails, whatever."
So tell me what about me makes you envy me (cheap-ass ego boost/comment whoring, I know), then post this in your LJ and see what makes me envious of you!

Date: 2005-04-21 04:11 pm (UTC)That's true, your opinion of Cryptonomicon alone is enough to make it true :)
But otoh tastes are perhaps more defined by fiction that fewer people like. I read reams of Piers Anthony and very early Asimov and generic fantasy, which perhaps defines me more than what genuinely good books I read. (Though I'm getting fed up with trash now :)) I know Risa shares the Piers weakness. And sonicdrift always amazes me in having read the same lesser known books: I think Hornblower and Dianna Wynn Jones, which most people are only vaguely aware of, but I can rely on her to love too :)
