New mobile contract

I spent way too long procrastinating (I resent the arbitrary hoops imposed by mobile phone networks where they charge you an extortionate mark-up on data bandwidth in order to every two years give a new handset to everyone who can flawlessly pretend that they're just doing that out of the goodness of their hearts).
But I finally ordered a giffgaff SIM and bought a Nexus 4 with my own money.
As soon as they arrive, I'll try to cancel my existing contract with Orange.

Date: 2013-04-11 01:52 pm (UTC)I care about coverage. And I really want to find a provider who can do me good coverage for both voice and data. But currently, Vodafone and O2 (including giffgaff) are best for voice, and Three is hands-down the winner for 3G, so I'm persevering with Vodafone in the dumb handset and Three in the Mi-fi.
Vodafone is also way better than everyone else for roaming voice.
Maybe I should switch to giffgaff for voice, though. And maybe I should watch what happens with 4G.

I've not really any idea about coverage.
