Weekend: Changing Addresses

At the weekend, I made sure I'd changed the addresses to my new address for everything I absolutely had to (I also set up a redirection service for everything where I mainly just want to receive it).
Dealing with bureaucracy
I'm amazed how much easier it seemed the second time. Last time I was terrified I'd mess up changing my driving license and get arrested or something. This time I just said "go to website, fill in form, follow instructions, done".
In fact, I'm succumbing to the fallacy of familiarity, "I do this every day, it can't be dangerous". When I know full-well that rare-but-disastrous events are always underestimated.
I am pleasantly surprised that the web pages for all these things were fairly straight-forward, in at least the most common case. No hoops, no ringing up, no going places, just fill it in.
Getting things done
The weekend was a success rather than a failure because I got done everything I absolutely had to get done. But it went right up to Sunday night.
I spent most of the weekend going flop and reading a book. Which is good sometimes, but I want to be in more control.
I'm not sure how much that's (1) I genuinely needed the recovery time (2) once I started reading I got sucked in and (3) I was putting off getting stuff done. I think (3) is massively reduced, but it still happens.
I don't have a good measure of (1). I wasn't too busy this week, I'm not sure how stressed out I ended up being.
One thing that helps a bit is recognising that if I get things done *now*, it's normally better than doing them later, so even if I'm not going to get *everything* done, it's _easier_ to do _something_ now...
