I should probably take advantage of the film festival while it's here. Despite not booking Howl's Moving Castle in time.

Tomorrow, I'm free, probably wanting to see

Ketchup effect, 16.15, teenage girls
Schizo, 18.00, bare knuckle boxing
or
Another public enemy, 21.15, public prosecutor in high speed car chases

Depending almost entirely on when I finish work. Anyone wanting to help is welcome.

Update And at some point I want to see "Mr and Mrs", and "Madagasca", and when it comes out "Fantastic Four".

No, I got up at 7.00 today. But that looked also sold out... :( ?

Thank you *hug*. Though don't worry, I'm not scarred by it, I'm almost scared to see it in case it's not how I imagined the book.

Hmm. If it was Hexwood or one of my other favourites then I'd be worried, but I was always very take it or leave it about Howls Moving Castle, so my risk is low. I hear it's on at WorldCon, but that might be excessive... if it's good I'm sure Tom or one of the other anime people will get it on DVD

Unfortunately I read Hexwood after a lot of other DWJ, so I loved it, but was getting slightly tired of the 'everyone turns out to be someone else' thing... (sorry:)) Howl wasn't one of my absolute favorites, but seemed very visual somehow.

Yes, it'll appear eventually, I'm sure.

Squee! I think that's showing I've got tickets to! Though my parents are now coming up this weekend so I'm feeling a bit guilty about going.

I didn't realise she'd be introducing the film at 6 or I'd have gone for that. I know she's scheduled to be signing books at 2.30 at Borders, which is the same time as HP6 kids day stuff so it'll be full of screaming brats.

3 more days of conference. *sob*

Well, I have housecooling party in the evening, and I thought it would have been rude to abandon my own party to go to see a film. Stick them in a punt or something and they'll have a great time. (although if your guilt levels rise you could probably make a killing on the tickets, given both [livejournal.com profile] cartesiandaemon and [livejournal.com profile] ceb wanted to go and didn't get tickets in time, I'm sure there's lots of crazed geeks out there ready to fight for tickets...)

There appears to be some confusion as to whether it's the subtitled japanese or the dub. I've heard a rumour that the morning is the dub and the evening is the subtitles, but it's just a rumour...

BTW, you may not want to sit near me, as I'm going with my friend [livejournal.com profile] arnhem and his 5 year old daughter on her first trip to the cinema. :) She's usually well behaved though...

*hugs for the conference*

A friend got me a ticket or I might be tempted (Crazed geek fighting?). Mind you if it's only the dub she probably wouldn't mind. Do you know if they're planning to show it out side of the film festival?

Ah. Please don't be offended if I sit the other side of the cinema from you!(Will refrain from my rant about how young children should not be allowed out in public;)) Would a 5 year old be able to read the subtitles anyway?

Well, I assumed it was the dub, until someone told me otherwise. And she reads well, and liked fantasia, which makes about as much sense as a film in the wrong language, so it may all be ok* :/

*spot the post justification...

I was expecting atreic to say "Going to the cinema with a friend? Who? Is he nice?" :)

Thought for the day: kids are just like everyone else. Unfortunately this means that 90% of them are really annoying to associate with, but you tend to get forced into the company of your own and your friends, whereas with adult people you can choose associates from the 10%. Discuss :)

Yeah. I'm being organised about important things in my life, leaving my social filmwatching to "I'm uh, going to see... something... soon." As Becky always suffers, you have to bully people a lot to get them to be in one place :)
