Yeesh! Forget the bed, I need a pad of writing paper by the bath. I feel like that guy in Diamond Age (by Neal Stephenson) who had nanosites embedded in his muscles which constantly stimulated them to keep him in trim whatever he did, but found that it could get irritating when he was constantly twitching, he was Archimedes Bud.

Some of it should be forgotten, though most is stuff I would like to do, fic scenes, and the like so should get recorded at some point. I have managed a more buddhist attitude toward *knowing* things. If someone's meeting a friend and won't say who, or has a stupid nickname and won't say why, or is asking about some other fact I really don't need to know, I've got good at just not minding, whereas once my voracious curiousity was less discriminating and would latch on to any unknown.

But writing paper has an unfortunate tendency to get soggy in such circumstances. Could you perhaps carve notes on the soap? :-)

But my entire system is predated on paper being a transitory medium. It will probably hold up long enough to be typed onto a computer, which is all it has to do.

I haven't myself, but know of too many people jotting one word reminders to themselves on soap or mirrors, and if it's not accidently erased they always come back thinking "What did I mean by that?" :)

What you need is a whiteboard and marker pens. That's less likely to go bad with moisture or lose the messages. Or maybe, hmm, there must be something that writes on tiles and can be rubbed off them. (Tile paint, if the experience of everybody I know that has ever used it is anything to go by!)

That would be cool. Something that could write on shower glass would be cool, though even little sticky letters would work. And you could sit there luxuriating and fiddling with it whenever you woke up :) Though as I say to miss next not necessary for my current problem.

I've got it! All you need is a steel plate beside the bath and an unfeasible quantity of magnetic letters!
