I'm supposed to bring a dessert to a party on Sat. I will buy something from Marks and Spencer's. But it feels like a complete cop-out not to even try to make one.

I've never made sweet things, all my cooking has been main-course-y, because desert is nice, but I don't care as much as some people. So I might yet try. It should ideally be moist and made ENTIRELY OUT OF LEMONS.

Does anyone want to help me on sat aft...??

Actually, if i cook I cook puddings, as they're more fun to eat.

LOL. Yes. That's part of it -- many people do, so plenty of nice puddings naturally appear, and, while I like puddings a lot, I like them less than many people, so it made sense to me to concentrate on main courses first :)

I might be giving moral support for a viva on saturday though, if not I can come over with my copy of Delia's how to cook.

Oh, thank you, that's sweet. And for the recipe: I always like your explanations very much, they make things so explicable :)

I may try (and either way will buy cake, so as I said to mum I am not betting success on baking, but that if it happens to go well, I can take it to people who will enjoy it), I'll see how I feel on sat.

Oh, whose viva? Um, pass on good luck!
