Birthday

* I woke up this morning to a string of half-a-dozen birthday messages, and one from okcupid. I still don't expect that, but it was really sweet, thanks to everyone who did.

* Tonight I'm going to the Carlton. Like the assignment of holidays, I think I'm starting to think in terms of "The day itself for family; the nearest non-weekday-evening for old friends; the Saturday for everyone" :)

* Tomorrow I'm going out for dinner with some friends. Last year I think was the start of the tradition of doing something else as well as a party.

* On Saturday is my party, to which I hope to see as many people as possible.

* I'd forgotten, at least one person apparently shares my Birthday -- happy birthday Rosy! Feel free to come and celebrate with me on sat if you want :)

Well, I haven't logged in for ages (I suddenly wonder what I wrote in my profile, now), but I'm sure you'll be unsurprised to learn it is as "cartesiandaemon" :)

By the way, you're a lot younger than I expected; I was figuring on someone ten years older. Don't ask me why.

My username on OKCupid is "elocution" with an underscore between the e and the l. I haven't updated my profile in forever, and probably should do so at some point. The pics I have are from last year, right after I shaved my head.
